In commemoration of the 2019 Africa Youth Day celebration themed “1 million by 2020: count me in”, a nd in response to the African Unions call on governments, the private sector participants, development partners, civil society organizations and youth development stakeholders to stand up and be counted as drivers of its 1 million by 2021 initiative towards youth empowerment, Baywood Foundation, a youth-oriented organization founded and funded by Emperor Baywood-Ibe organized a one day consultative dialogue to foster new approaches to address the Challenges of the African Youth. Ahmadu Bello University (ABU Zaria) will on  March 28, 2018  entertain  thousands of people including youth and professionals from the public  and private sectors in the maiden edition of Project Africa. With theme, The 2nd Phase of Africa Independence (in honour of the late Sir Ahmadu Bello the only Premier of the Northern Nigeria Region), the programme, which is organized by Africa The Dreamland International Foundation in Partnership with Africa Union, arewa house, African Research and Development Agency (ARADA) would hold at the Assembly Hall, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

The People’s Democratic Party, PDP has described the the anti-corruption Champion conferred on President Muhammadu Buhari at the African Union Summit as laughable, derisory and African joke of the year. This condemnation was contained in a statement by the National publicity secretary of the party, Kola Ologbondiyan. The PDP said it was embarrassing that the Presidency, in its desperation to launder its irredeemably dented image, would resort to exporting its deceptive proclivities to the international arena. Ologbondiyan said African Union were not well briefed of the happenings in Nigeria, hence, the honour.
