A business and mentorship focused women driven organisation African Women Inspire Network (AWIN) has launched Operations in Africa with Nigeria as the headquarters. This organisation was founded by a Nigerian woman, and the convener of African Hair Summit, Mrs. Adanna Enwezor in Nigeria's capital city Abuja.  Focused on women supporting women and reaching all classes of women, AWIN promises to change the narrative of women not supporting each other and revolutionise what women in concert can achieve in contribution of a better Africa. Because the Club Floor was recently renovated and not many people in Nigeria are familiar with it. So it is great to introduce it to a few more people. Everything on the Club Floor is so grand. Below is how my stay went. Pre-Arrival Was there any pre-arrival communication by the hotel with myself via email ? Yes there was. We exchanged emails and I had my itinerary sent to me ahead in order to get me ready for my stay. But it was totally flexible and I had no special requests. Did I try to engage the hotel via Social Media ? Did the hotel interact with me and make me feel welcome/special?

According to CNN, Brenda Uphopho was walking up the stairs in her office when she suddenly felt someone's hand reach underneath her skirt. It was her boss. "I screamed, and he was shocked at my scream," Uphopho, a festival producer from Lagos, told CNN. "And I was shocked that he was shocked." Speaking out about sexual assault and harassment is widely considered taboo in Nigeria, where one in four girls experience sexual violence before the age of 18. Of those who experienced sexual violence in childhood, only 38% told someone about it -- and as few as 5% sought help,  according to a national survey carried out in 2014 .

An expert in the  housing sector and the Managing Director of Symphony Garden City, Lagos State, Mr. Bola Adeboye has identified the strict policies of the government as factors responsible for low investment in housing sector by foreign investors. Adeboye lamented that the polices of the government on housing has become unbearable for investors hence the reason why they avoid the sector. The Managing Director who spoke after his Investors' Forum on the proposed Symphony Garden Estate at Ogudu, Oworo - Shoki area of Lagos state decried the rate investors move their investment from Nigeria to other countries because of its stiff policies. He said government needs to deregulate its housing policies in order for both local and foreign investors to invest in it.

Over the weekend, I joined my children to watch the much talked about ‘Black Panther’. It was a good film, and I was happy they took me to see it. However, I came out of the movie theatre a little upset. When the first scenes came up, and I saw “Sambisa Forest” I was unhappy that the only reference the film makers could have for Nigeria was a negative one, but I was later encouraged by the thought of Africans solving African problems. That is a good thing, the kinds of things we used to do. For young people who may not remember, Nigerian civil servants and indeed most able citizens used to contribute money every month to support the struggle against Apartheid in South Africa. Nigeria was the single stabilizing force across West Africa. Helping to restore peace in Liberia and Sierra Leone are examples of the gigantic status we once had.

President Muhammadu Buhari Has yielded to public outcry for not physically visiting crises troubled areas where terrorists and gunmen have been running rampage and has scheduled visit to Taraba, Yobe, Benue, Rivers and Zamfara state in the next couple of days. President Muhammadu Buhari was in Kano last weekend,  hours after terrorists attacked a military base in Borno State, killing aid workers military personals which sent the  Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) scampering for safety.

REHABILITATION OF UMUNNATO GENERAL HOSPITAL: THE TRUE STORY While I was seeking the mandate of Bende North (UMUNNA) people to represent them at Abia House of Assembly, I was specific in my campaign promise that I would do all within my powers to see that the General Hospital, Umunnato is rehabilitated to serve its original purpose of providing quality Medicare to the people of Umunna and environs. I was particularly disturbed that rural dwellers were not availed the diverse opportunities having a secondary healthcare facility provide. I knew that a functional general hospital within Umunna would serve the specific health needs of my people at Ezeukwu, Ugwueke, Alayi, Item and Igbere.

The finals of the Unleash ur Creativity Film capacity program came  with bump and pageantry as young filmmakers drawn from the different  states of the federation where presented to the audience.  The event  took place on the 22nd of Feb, 2018 at the Genesis Cinemas Airport  road Abuja.
