ABIA APC HAILS PRESIDENT BUHARI FOR RECOGNISING JUNE 12 AS DEMOCRACY DAY, THANK HIM FOR EXTENDING DEMOCRATIC DIVIDENDS TO ABIA

In a press statement signed by the publicity secretary of the APC in Abia state Comrade Ben Godson and released to the press, the Abia APC hailed the decision of President Buhari in recognizing the efforts of those who fought tirelessly to the extent of giving up their lives for the democracy we are enjoying today.

The president had shown that he is a true democrat who is committed to righting the wrongs and injustices meted out on Nigerians irrespective of age, tribe or gender.

The Abia APC spokesman in his statement said the recognition and award of GCFR on Chief Abiola his running mate, Ambassador Baba Gana Kingibe, who will also be awarded a GCON. And others like the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi, SAN, who fought tirelessly for human rights and democracy, and for the actualization of the June 12, 1993 elections will for the first time in the life of any government in Nigeria to be posthumously awarded a GCON.

We also want to use this opportunity to thank President Buhari for the reconstruction of The Abia/PH/Enugu express road, the Achara /Ukwuangwu Rd, Onuaku/Ikpokoro, Ndundu/Amagha being reconstructed by the NDDC, Ehi road, Azikiwe Rd, Cameroun Rd, Constitution Cresent, Rivers Layout, Tenant Road, Obehie junction to Obohia-Ndoki, Azumini-Ndoki to Opobo Junction all in internal roads within Aba.

Uzuakoli/Ohafia Road, Mkpa/ Umuimenyi Road, Abiriba Ring Road etc. are all federal government projects being done through the NDDC.

The Primary School free feeding program, the Renovation of about 15 primary and Secondary Schools, some finished and others ongoing. Isieke erosion control, internal roads in world bank and Agbama housing estates in Umuahia, Community roads in Ekeoba, Ohuhu Umuahia north LGA, internal roads in FMC Umuahia being done by the NDDC. Isieke erosion control, internal roads in world bank and Agbama housing estates in Umuahia, the reconstruction of Umuahia/Ikwuano to ikot Ekpene, Akwa ibom State road are all evidence of democratic dividends that the APC led federal government has brought to Abia state, and we want to thank Mr President and to also encourage him to do more for Abians.

He went ahead to assure Abians to remain steadfast and continue to trust the leadership of President Buhari and the APC that in a short while the APC will come to rescue Abia from the dungeon of bad governance, looting, brazen corruption, parochialism and impunity being perpetrated by the PDP government in Abia state.

Comrade Godson went ahead to encourage Abians to obtain their voters card as the Hon. Donatus Nwankpa led Abia APC is determined to ensure that the PDP government that has brought us so much misery and underdevelopment is voted out come 2019 so as to return Abia to the center through ensuring that an APC government is instituted in Abia for us to fully enjoy the democratic dividends that the APC government is determined to spread across the federation.

“Life-Long Learning is the Future” says Chimeremnma Hope Ulukwu, the Founder of WholeLife Initiative for Development in Africa a nongovernmental organization established out of the passion to promote development in Nigeria and Africa at large through education.
