A popular blogger in Imo state, IfeanyiCy Njoku has raised an alarm after accusing Imo state government of trying to murder him. According to the reporter who is well known for criticizing Imo state government especially governor Rochas Okorocha, more than 15 hired thugs stormed Rockview Hotels in Owerri in search of him. FG policy: Ogun Customs Reduces Checkpoints

The Ogun State Area Command of the Nigerian Customs Service said on Wednesday that it has reduced the numbers of checkpoints manned by personnel of the service. The New Controller of the command, Michael Ojobo Agbara, disclosed this to newsmen in Idiroko while parading the seizures made by the command in the last two weeks of his resumption into office.   He said the effort was geared towards achieving one of the core functions of the service and to passionately key into the federal government executive order on ease of doing business. The controller revealed that the officers and men earlier manning the removed checkpoints have been redeployed to the hinterlands in order to reinforce the might of other officers.

CENTRE LSD CONTINUES CAPACITY BUILDING OF YOUTHS INTERESTED IN POLITICS IN THE NIGER-DELTA

The African Centre for Leadership, Strategy & Development (Centre LSD), a non-governmental and non-profit organization has taken up the gauntlet to build the capacity of youths interested in political offices in the Niger-Delta. The Centre shall from April 23rd -25th 2018 train 60 youths in Delta State. Penultimate week, it concluded the training of 47 youths in Edo State, where it apart from building their skills conscientize them to participate in active politics. The Edo trained youths eulogised the Centre and expressed optimism to participate in the 2019 elections by contesting and vying for different elective positions.
