Boko Haram Attack GGSS Dapchi, Yobe State, 94 Girls Missing

Most media platforms claim that the school authorities said that at least 94 girls are missing after a head count conducted on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. The Nigeria Army and the police command are yet to give a figure of casualties or missing persons following the insurgents' attack on the village on Monday night, February 19, 2018. The Government secondary school   has been closed down while education authorities and security forces in the state began efforts to locate the missing students.

Nigerian Senate Condemns Annihilation of Building of an APC Faction of Kaduna State

The Nigerian Senate on Tuesday 20 th feb 2018 condemned the annihilation of a building housing a faction of Kaduna State All Progressives Congress (APC) Secretariat. It has been reported that the building which belongs to Sen. Suleiman Hunkuyi representing Kaduna North Senatorial District.  The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the demolition was carried out under the supervision of some armed security operatives. The resolution was as a result to a Point of Order raised by Sen. Shehu Sani (APC-Kaduna) during Tuesday’s plenary at the national assembly. Rising order 43, Sani said that: “In the last two and half years, we have been faced with tyranny and open dictatorship in Kaduna State.

Why Jacob Zuma Resigned

Few hours ago, Wednesday evening the President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma announced his resignation amidst the calls and protests that has been ongmoreoing following cases of corruption and . His political party ANC, he said, has been treating him unfairly too. Until we hear details from his speech later today, we can only say that African politics is maturing and headed in the right direction. With Nigerian elections few months away, we can only pray that African leaders will embody even better qualities. We applaud the 75 years old Jacob Zuma who has been in office since 2009 for bowing out heeding to the wishes of his compatriots.
