Across the world, the Coronavirus has not only become another disaster to wipe us all out of the earth but has also put the spotlight on the level of competence of our political leaders. In Africa, the case is not different as governments are putting in draconian measures to halt the spread just like their counterparts in Europe and Asia. With the eminent role health ministers are playing in fighting this global pandemic, I delved into a special finding to uncover the female faces leading the battle and definitely deserve commendation for the works, they have put in so far albeit sorrowful to know that, their works are faced with several challenges because of the under-resourced facilities they manage and how they will be risking their lives in the battle against the virus.

1.          The National Association of Nigerian Traders (NANTS) and West African Institute for Trade and Agricultural Development (WAITAD) observe that the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic has gradually enveloped the global economy and the populations in fear, resulting in automatic and unwitting declaration of ‘State of Emergency’ on the Health sector by several Governments across the world where the disease has killed many and impacted negatively on the economies. On our Interview series today, we feature a chat we had with a Nigerian Pastor in diaspora who we have followed his work from corporate service to christian discipleship and here is an excerpt from our deep but brief discussion. At least 600 out of the scheduled 5,400 young Imo state citizens soon to sit for the UTME- JAMB examinations in Nigeria have undergone Computer Based Testing (CBT), Word processing, and Digital Skill this week.  This project being facilitated by Imo state government through the Ministry of Technology Development is sponsored by the Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation owned by an Imo state Indigene.

Hon Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Ghana's Minister for Information and Nigerian famous blogger, Linda Ikeji have been announced to deliver the keynote addresses at the much anticipated 2019 Ghana Bloggers Summit scheduled to take place at the SB Incubator from November 1st to 2nd 2019. The summit which is being hosted by Avance Media is the inaugural convention of bloggers, digital influencers and journalists to network, learn and share knowledge in Ghana. In a bid to use digital technology to drive and improve the academic sector of our dear state, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha CON, KSC through the Honourable Commissioner for Technology Development, Nze Meekam Mgbenwelu in partnership with Nigerian Communications Commission (Digital Bridge Institute, DBI) yesterday 21/10/2019 began the training of the 1st batch of Imo State Secondary School Teachers.

Today, October 17 in Owerri, Imo state had the gathering of top Nigerian Social media Influencers by Order paper on the use of the REMTRACK App. The REMTRACK app is the first Remediation technology deployed by any country at all and is soon to launch. Social media influencers drawn from across over 7 states were in attendance to test run the app software and make input in its use.
